Peter Malarkey: Social Landscapes
In his 2024 exhibition Social Landscapes Peter Malarkey explores the ways human presence and cultural dynamics shape natural environments.
In this group of evocative paintings he works with color and texture to locate an interplay between developed and undeveloped scenery. Malarkey is drawn by the impact of human activity on diverse landscapes and implies the potential environmental and social narratives embedded in our surroundings. The exhibition considers the beauty of the natural world as well as our combined effect in its transformation.
